A punk rock art student is introduced to the world of time travel and is opened up to a world of possibilities
LUCID - SYNOPSIS
It is 1995 and 19 year old art student Mia is hastily preparing for a class presentation. She has created a hideous self-portrait which includes a rib-eye steak attached to the cheek. After flailing in front of her class, she crashes her bike, fights with her cruel ex-boyfriend and a hungry dog. Her self-confidence is shattered. She throws the artwork into a dumpster.
Unexpectedly Felix Ferdinand appears and rescues the painting. Mia runs after him and is perplexed when he appears to know details of her life. He shows Mia a glossy catalogue and she is astonished to read βMia Fitz-Patrick : Retrospective 2026β. Felix reveals that he is a time traveler and art collector from the future. When Felix realises that the painting is not the piece he has come to collect, he emphatically encourages Mia to dig deep to create the vital piece. His rousing words have a profound effect on her and she is determined to reach her potential. A week later, Mia storms into her next presentation and delivers a shocking performance that is worthy of time and space as her classmates look on in awe, admiration and disgust.
